This look book is a Pretty Little Thing inspired range for an A/W collection for 2019/20. The images shown below were used to inspire this look book as it follows the same layout and style including outfits, background colours, lighting etc. The research begun by looking through previous look books created by PLT on YouTube which gave a better insight as to how PLT design their own look books and how successful they are. Other research was also used during the development of this look book including an evaluation of various wardrobes from friends and family members which resulted in a up rise in the purchase of more animal print garments. Another was the research of Instagram promotions and marketing videos created by Pretty Little Thing that they post regularly on social media in order to entice their audience. This helped as it will have given ideas as to how this look book could be created in order to be a successful interpretation.
Final Project.......
This piece of work has been successful as all images and layout are extremely similar to the images that PLT use within their brand including the style of outfits. The use of the colour palettes on each page shows how the look book follows earthy tones reflecting an autumn/winter season. Research of PLTs digital marketing was used which made the research much more accurate including billboards and media platforms such as PLTs Instagram page and website. Their visual merchandising also helped the look book becoming a success as it created the ability to experience their branding first hand. However, an anomaly of this may be that one of the shots is shown in a photography studio which is unconventional to the brand of PLT however this was done as a way of creating individualism within the creation. The looks also include product prices making the piece of work more accurate as it is more convincing to the audience. This makes the look book more successful due to these reasons.
